Warm honey flavor with spicy notes of the East is the first thing that impresses and allows you to relax as soon as you get into luxurious apartments in the elite center of Kyiv. This mysterious and sophisticated space was created by the architect Natalia Oleksienko and her studio Evolutionary Architecture.

“In this project, we sought to go beyond the interior and expand spatial perception,” says project author Natalia Oleksienko.

Openwork lattices with oriental ornaments, swivel vertical slats, illuminated columns are not just decoration, but rather architectural elements that give the impression of an exterior. As if we are in the courtyard of some villa. The feeling of air and perspective arises due to unexpected combinations and alternation of decorative elements, their multilayer overlays. Mirrors and glass surfaces enhance the depth, as if revealing the closed space of the apartment.

It seems that through the carved lattices you can look into the next courtyard, and the vertical lamellas can be moved apart and go to another terrace.

The author of the project also transfers the intriguing reception of multilayer surfaces to the ceiling. Carved ceiling panels and translucent stretch textiles create the feeling of a shady garden. And when the backlight turns on, it seems that the entire living room is flooded with diffused sunlight.

The feeling of being in the open air also creates a natural pattern of natural stone on the walls. The surface of the empirador is etched, which emphasizes the structure of the stone, showing in it the depth of the pattern in the form of a branchy tree.

Each step in this interior involves the mind in the game and brings the joy of discovery.

It is not immediately possible to recognize that if you need to leave the common space to other rooms, you need to go through the wall. All doors are camouflaged. Without platbands, they are located in the plane of the wall and are covered with the same veneer. Only handles give access to the sleeping area or wardrobe. This technique made it possible to get rid of the corridors in the apartment, where every meter matters.

The theme of oriental ornaments, mirrors, pivots continues in the master bedroom and bathroom, which creates the impression of a continuous space.

In the master bedroom, silks, velours, colored lamps and mysterious shadows on frosted glass turn on the imagination. The textile wall, which is interrupted by inserts of mirrors and an openwork lattice, gives a special softness to the interior.

The bedroom is separated from the bathroom only by glass sheets in combination with swivel slats.

Spatial illusions are enhanced many times in the bathroom due to mirrors located in different planes. An unexpected combination of white pattern, onyx-patterned tiles and crystal lamps against the background of mirrors make the bath the most weightless room in the apartment.

Of note is the spectacular lighting scenario in this project. The author boldly combines minimalistic linear lamps with crystal pendants and lamps in colored glass. The role of the main light in the living room is performed by a luminous carved ceiling. And a lot of highlights, which are designed to create a special comfort and softness of the interior. The lamps above the dining table are reminiscent of oriental oil lamps. A lot of lights create a special comfort.

The interior is worked out to the smallest detail. A series of art objects has been uniquely selected. This series under the intriguing name "UkrBuddha" was created by artist Natalia Egorova. Reminiscent of chess pieces, the objects are in tune with the main ideas of the interior, in which the play of space and details creates a fascinating story.
